OFO’s Energy Services program helps eligible households make their homes more energy efficient, comfortable, affordable, and safe through free or low-cost weatherization improvements. Services are available at no cost to income-eligible homeowners and tenants in Otsego and Chenango Counties.
Owners of rental properties with income-eligible tenants may also qualify for services with a minimal contribution toward the cost of weatherization improvements. Our goal is to help households save energy, reduce costs, and create healthier, more comfortable living environments.
Weatherization Measures Weatherization improvements are based on the findings of the home energy audit. Not every home will qualify for every type of improvement. Health and safety issues or significant structural concerns may need to be addressed before certain weatherization services can be completed.
